Coaching & being coachable

 Today was a great day of coaching, where we bring in a guest teacher to help develop our students dancing.

A new voice, a different vocabulary, a different body type, perhaps a different way of communicating...these lead to what we lovingly call "dance epiphanies".  These "light bulb" moments where a student is struck with understanding of concepts their teacher has been training on with them.

It's so exciting to see what happens for the students who choose to use this tool.  A favorite quote from student Perry about enrollment for coaching: "Every time I sign up for coaching I think 'This is expensive.', and every time I've completed a coaching session I think 'This is the best money I've ever spent.'."

The best time to invest in yourself is always now.  We are enrolling for our next coaching February 13th 2025

Being coachable: actively listening, open to being taught and trained in order to improve.

Fundraiser for California Fire Survivor

We have decided to turn our first Saturday Soiree Social dance of 2025 into a fundraiser for one of our vendors, Azita Milanian of TOSCA Dance Fashions. Please join us on Saturday, January 25th for a 7:30pm dance class, then stay for food, fun, and friendships. Cash is appreciated so we can donate without a credit transaction. Troy will be donating his dance hosting and asks that you keep him dancing the whole night through. If you can't make the party there is a Go Fund Me campagn shared to Troy's profile on facebook. Just contact us and we can send the info to you!
